For a slightly more cost conscious option from Scott why not try the Mali Jacket. Again manufactured in the excellent 8.10 Spectrum fabric but this time with critically taped seams (to keep the cost down), it will keep out all but the very worst weather, perfect for the alps not so great for the horizontal rain of Scotland. As ever styling is so sharp it'll make the edges on your skis look blunt and warm too as it packs the same quilted tafetta with microlft lining as the more expensive jackets.
