 | | | In 1946 Odd Roar Lofterod created ODLO in Norway with the motto, "Always make sure you are one step ahead" an ideal that remains unchanged today. By 1947 Odd was producing prototype leggings made of his revolutionary Helanca fibres for his son Odd Roar Jnr, who was an up and coming youth speed skater. By 1972 25 teams at the Sapporo Winter Olympics were all competing in ODLO clothing. A year later came ODLO Termic the first fully synthetic sports underwear again inspired by the needs of speed skaters. Through the eighties & nineties through to the present day ODLO have continued to expand there ranges to encompass all outdoor activities, including trekking and nordic walking as well as the more traditional winter sports.
